RE What do Christians believe God is like?

This term, we will be listening to two stories from the Bible: The Lost Son and Jonah and the Whale. We will learn what a parable is and discuss what these stories reveal to Christians, about the nature of God. We will reflect on how this affects what Christians believe, what they do and how they pray. We will explore what it means to forgive and discuss how the idea of forgiveness, impacts how we behave in school.

Art – Flowers in Art

In our Art lessons, we will study how flowers have been represented in art. We will explore the sunflower paintings of Vincent Van Gogh, Dutch still life paintings from the 16th century and botanical water colours. We will learn how to mix paint from the three primary colours so that we can sketch and paint our own works of art.

PSHE – Physical and Mental Wellbeing

This term, we will be exploring the importance of sleep and the benefit of having a regular sleep routine. We will also learn about looking after our teeth.
